We would like to join the current public announcements of Microsoft’s stronger focus on open source, with the news that IdentityServer and IdentityManager have become part of the .NET Foundation. This allows the two Frameworks to grow alongside such notable projects as the .NET Core itself, ASP.NET vNext, ASP.NET MVC, Web API and SignalR.
Joining the Foundation provides these projects with a strong organizational backbone to increase the visibility and attractiveness of IdentityServer and IdentityManager to both, new users and new committers. As a current user of one of these projects, this will provide even stronger long-term safety of your investments in the use of these frameworks.
(Continue to the .NET Foundation’s announcement for more details …)
On the technical side, Dominick Baier and Brock Allen will remain the main technical leaders of this project and all of us are already looking forward to the final release of IdentityServer v3 within the not so distant future.
