Paul Barlett finds a uncanny resemblance to the actor Shaun Williamson.
I can't find any similarities myself, but that's my personal view ;-)

I just found out that I'm blogging for more than 1 year. My first blog entry happened before TechEd 2003. With the last year the calculator-removal was a blog entry that was discussed around the world.
Here are the most visited blog entries of the first year:

With different applications I see similar problems that are repeated year after year.
One example: show up the username either lastname, firstname - or firstname lastname. Changing the application settings only changes the behavior for new users but not for the existing ones.
How many applications did face this problem in their first versions? I've seen several.

Achim Ruopp started blogging. I've met Achim at TechEd in San Diego. Achim is a great guy working at Microsoft to deal with internationalization issues, this is also shown with the title of his blog: "Tales from the Crossroads of Internationalization and .NET".
One of his first entries lists all Internationalization Sessions at TechEd 2004 Europe.
Achim, it's great to see you blogging :-)

A few days ago I received the new book ".NET Compact Framework Programming with C#" by Paul Yao and David Durant. This 1400 pages book covers a wide range of the .NET Framework - with the view from the compact devices. Differences from the CF to the desktop .NET Framework are always mentioned, e.g. with garbage collection, the CF does not have multiple generations.
The main parts of this book are
All what's needed for Compact Framework programming!

Today we had a Venus-Transit, the Venus crossing in between Earth and Sun. A video of the transit can be seen here.
Next time this can be seen (from Europe) in 2125.
Frank Arrigo has some more links.
